The Chingford Project is designed as both residential and commercial space. Located in Chingford, London. The project accommodate 3x commercial floor space at ground level and proposes to create 6x new residential units on upper floors with higher living standards.

The scale of the new proposals seeks to respect that of the surrounding context while maximising the potential of the site. The existing commercial units are kept to the front of the site and the entrance to flats above are re located to the side Road so as to both address the location of the site on a main road and to minimise impact on adjacent residential properties.

Residential units are accessed from a shared access via a communal entrance. The staircase can be accessed from the side on Merryhill Close, or from the rear car park. All units are dual aspect providing ample daylight and outlook, and have been carefully designed to provide high quality accommodation. They offer good size open plan living/kitchen/ dining areas and bathrooms. The proposal seeks to build on positive aspects of the surrounding buildings and tie in new elements to create a distinctive and contemporary high quality development. This is to be achieved using quality materials and careful architectural detailing.
